How weLabs collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.
This policy covers the weLabs website and the enquiries you send us through it. weLabs operates through two companies:
In this policy, “weLabs”, “we” and “us” mean these two companies. The company you deal with is responsible for your personal information.
Information you give us. When you start a project, book a call or request an audit, we collect what you enter in the form. This can include your name, work email, website or store URL, service category, budget range, project details, the plugins or features your store uses, your time zone and call time, and any files you attach. If you ask for a reply over WhatsApp, we also collect your WhatsApp number.
Information from our conversations. If you email us or join a call, we keep the messages, notes and documents you share so we can scope and quote your project.
Technical information. When you visit the site, your browser sends standard information such as IP address, browser type and device to our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and to Google, which serves the tag manager the site uses for analytics.
We use your information to:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on these grounds: taking steps you request before a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business, your consent where we ask for it, and compliance with the law.
Our teams work from Hong Kong and Bangladesh, and some service providers store data in other countries. When your information moves across borders, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected as described in this policy.
During a project we may get access to your systems, code or customer data. We handle that data under our contract and any NDA with you, and only on your instructions. This policy covers how we treat you as a contact; your contract covers how we treat the data in your systems.
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up. If we work together, we keep project and billing records for the length of the engagement and as long as the law requires afterwards. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so if you believe your data has been exposed, contact us straight away.
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To make a request, email contact@welabs.dev. We may need to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Our services are for businesses. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page.
For any question about this policy or your information, email contact@welabs.dev or write to either address listed under Who We Are.
